Okay, so I know I've been a really bad lj person recently. I haven't updated in yonks and the only reason I'm here now is cos I want to rob you all.

See, my sister and I lost our grandma in 2002 to breast cancer, and having looked after quite a few cancer patients at the hospital I just really felt I wanted to raise some money for Cancer Research.

So Michelle and I are running the Cancer Research UK's Race For Life and I know this is so cheeky but if anyone can spare any change then we would appreciate it so much. It's all done securely online and I'm told it doesn't take more than a couple of minutes.

If anyone can sponsor us just the smallest amount I'd be so grateful!

So we went to Meadowhall (biiiig shopping centre in Sheffield) today which is about an hours drive from where we live, and while I was in Zavvi I noticed Cobra Starship's first album was only £7. Of course I was all, 'WOOO!, bargain!' and I bought it.

Thought nothing else of it until I got home and went to go play it, and guess what?

THERE'S NO FUCKING CD IN THE CASE!

*whimpers* why me?

I'm gonna have to all the way back there now because it's the closest store. I knew I should have just downloaded it but nooooo, I wanted a proper copy didn't I?


Poop.

I've got my anatomy and physiology resit tomorrow and I'm somewhat freaking out right now.

If I fail this time I get booted of the course and it's four years before I can re-apply.

Long time no see, LJ!


Oh, how I have abused my poor little LJ. I've still been lurking around my flist but I've not really commented for ages mainly because I've been so busy. Uni just really piled up on me lol.


Went on an awesome road trip today with my friend Clo. We've been wanting to go to Thackray Medical Museum for ages because we went with school years ago and remembered it being awesome. So we finally managed to go today and had a blast. And then we decided we wanted to go to Eden Camp which was like 40 miles away. Fortunately I had Mrs Sat Nav and off we went lol. I've only just got home and I'm shattered!


Anyhoo, I'm afraid I've dipped my toes into the bandom waters and I love it. My crush on Patrick Stump deepens everyday lol.

Oh Kim, I meant to say thank you for my xmas and birthday presents! So, THANK YOU! Sorry for being a bad person :)

So, I failed my exam.



Really wasn't expecting to fail.



I suck.

I'm in some serious ass pain right now.

For ages my wisdom tooth as been coming through at the back of my mouth, and it's permanently swollen and sore.

It's so bad right now that I'm starving but I just can't face eating. It's giving me an awful earache as well.

Argh.


I need hugs :(

YAY! Exam over and done with!


Got a couple of days off now, then back out on placement. This time I'm with a district nurse, so yay community!

Well, like most people on my flist, I am off on my jolly hols.

Just going to Suffolk for a week but it'll be nice to have a bit of a break before my exams.


Although I probably should be revising instead of lounging around.

So once again, I took my revision outside for some fresh air. I set myself up the swing seat with my books and my iPod.

And I fell asleep. AGAIN!


This is like the 4th time I've done it! I think my error usually lies in getting out the big squashy pillow and blanket from the conservatory. I just get so comfy.

It's perfect weather for me out there. Slightly chilly but not cold. There's a nice strong breeze as well that keeps the swing rocking and blows the blanket around just how I like.


I really should not go out there to revise. I have a dint in my cheek where my anatomy book was digging into me and it's quite sore lol!

I took a leaf out of specialagentr_c's book and updated my layout and userinfo. I also changed my mood theme so it's now Ron/Hermione.

I'm bored.

My sister's gone on holiday so I can't annoy her. I've watched all my DVD's about 20 times. I've played games on the wii, my ds, my psp, the xbox, and the pc and I'm still bored. I've finished all my books so I'm listening to them on audio but it's read by Stephen Fry and he lulls me too sleep so I miss what's happened.

That just leaves me with revision. And I'll be damned if I do that.

1. I always sleep on top of my covers on my bed and have a blanket over me. I know it would make more sense to get under the covers but...meh. I like it this way.
2. I am quite severely claustrophobic, and freaked out big style in my car the other day.
3. I always wear a nose ring. Except for when I'm at the hospital. Not allowed to wear it there.
4. I always lie to my friends and say I'm busy when they want me to come out with them. It's not because I don't like them, it's because I don't like drunk people.
5. I develop obsessions, like woah!
6. Me and my sister go to the very large Tesco round the corner from us nearly everyday. Not because we want anything. Because we like to mooch.
7. I have a thing about spoons. I can't eat with them. That's why I don't eat yoghurts or cereals.
8. My hair is falling out. Not from the roots but it's just braking off in chunks. Mainly because I straighten it, and have it chemically straightened and dye it a lot. Not good.



I can't be bothered to tag so I'll just leave it open for anyone who hasn't done it.

If anyone here happens to know anything about the renal system or the urinary system, then they will understand this...

What's new....?


Well MeChelle (oddlyfamiliar) mad me a spanking new layout 'cause she's made of awesome-sauce.


OOOOOOOOOOH! On Thursday I'm off to observe an open heart operation. And not from like behind the glass but from right next to the friggin surgeon. Which is just made of win.


What else....Oh! I passed my first semester of Uni! Yayz for me!

1. Changed my layout. It's all new and shiny and whatnot.

2. Am very annoyed because I was gonna do a picspam of my house but I appear to have broken my Dad's digital camera. Ooops.

3. Very excited because Michelle (oddlyfamiliar) is coming home tonight for the weekend. I like to squish my older sister. Mainly because she's just so darn squishable!

4. I start back on placement after the bank holiday. For anyone that doesn't know, I'm a student nurse and I spend half my time learning at uni, and the other half learning at the hospital. This new placement is on Out-Patients, not sure how much I'm looking forward to it. Sure it'll be good seeing all the different clinics, but I'll miss the ward atmosphere and building a relationship with the patients.

5. I've totally got a crush on Dara O'Briain. Current crushes also include Stephen Merchant, Richard Hammond, all of Fall Out Boy and Stephen Fry.
